I’ve been knitting! I finally finished up some socks that I had on the needles.
First up are the Monkey Socks. I finished these awhile ago, but didn’t weave the ends in until today. The pattern wasn’t too hard, but I realized that I started “knitting stupid” if it got too late at night. I’d just decide in the middle of the round that it was time to start the next round, so I did a lot of tinking back to fix things. The yarn is RubySapphire in the “Riley” colorway. This was a custom order, and it was named and colored after my puppy dog. It has blues and greens (for his collar and harness) and some tans and whites. I really like it, and plan on making a pair of toe up socks with the leftover yarn. Here’s a close up of the monkey detail.
I also got over my second sock syndrome on the Dublin Bay socks (the link is to the pattern PDF). These were a fairly mindless knit, except for the times that I’d leave out a yarn over and have to take out a few rounds. I like the look of the eye of the partridge heel on these as well. The yarn is the “Sweet” colorway from Sunshine Yarns. This was the January color for the sock club.
Lastly (sock wise, at least) I finished my first pair of toe up socks in Trekking 109. I used this yarn to make a garter rib pair back in January, and there was enough left to make a pair of short ankle socks. The pattern is Wendy’s generic toe up pattern, and it’s really easy to do. I was surprised that they went as fast as they did. This pattern is definitely good to carry around.
I’ve also finished the first sleeve of the Central Park Hoodie. I haven’t taken any pictures yet, so I guess I should get with that.
Next on the list of things to knit: Second sleeve of the Central Park Hoodie; Airy Socks with the “Airy” colorway and pattern from Sunshine Yarn’s April sock club package; toe up socks in “Riley” yarn.
